Monkey StoryJust to begin, I am a clown. Not as a profession, but for humanitarian reasons. I have traveled the world as a clown, most recently to Ecuador. But the story I would like to tell happened in Sri Lanka, which was my first trip. The trip was nearing its end, and the entire group I was traveling with were all very tired, and ready to go home. Our route back to Colombo and the airport took us directly through the center of the island. We stopped for a meal and a break at a rather fancy hotel that lay in the shadow of an enormous spire of rock, at the top of which was an Indian (as in the Subcontinent) style castle. Character Portrait- TyrTyr is tall, lanky, and fairly muscled, but not overly so. Built more like a basketball player than a bodybuilder. He is not one who uses muscle to solve problems. He has thin cornrows. He wears a sleeveless white shirt, with ragged edges where the sleeves were ripped away. His skin is a nice coconut brown. He wears a red scarf that sometimes unravels and flutters dramatically behind him when riding his bike. He has tinted goggles that he wears when riding. He wears tight, leather pants and boots with clasps (no laces). He carries a machete slung at his back, attached to his belt (thick leather, studded). He carries a long spear, with a 8-10Character Portrait- Tyr

Those four fingers and a thumb.
Our hands are instruments of both creation and destruction.
They have the power to put us
